A Note From Arienne
When I walk into one of our YWCA programs, I don’t just see a building. I see courage. I see parents doing their absolute best even when it feels impossible. I see kids whose laughter is bigger than the fear they carry. And if I really stop and listen, I hear stories that stay with me long, long after I leave. Even some of the first stories I heard in these hallways still stick with me almost 10 years later.
Stories of women finding the strength to leave absolutely terrible situations. Families finding a safe place to sleep tonight - together. Youth realizing someone truly believes in them and their futures. These are not just numbers or stats – they are very real people, with very real lives, and hopefully very real hope.
When you walk with us for Coldest Night of the Year West Niagara, you’re not just walking for a cause. You’re walking with these stories and these people. You’re helping make sure more people get relief, warmth, and a chance to start over. You’re showing them they’re not invisible, that someone cares.
Every step you take says: we see you, we hear you, we are and will always be with you. And that makes all the difference.
I’m grateful for each and every one of you who joins us. I can promise you, your support changes lives.
With all of my gratitude,
Arienne Good
