Thank you so much for visiting our website and for deciding to take action. It takes all of us to create change, we need YOU to help break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.
Taking action can mean different things – you can advocate on behalf of the women and families we serve, you can volunteer, participate in a fundraiser or make a donation. We encourage any and all of it, only you know what is the best way for you to support our work.
We would love for you to consider making a donation. The funds we raise support our shelters as well as our preventative programming in schools, our advocacy work for human trafficking victims and our transitional housing. We house hundreds of women, men and children every single year. Your donation ensures that we can keep the lights on in the shelters, provide our guests with nutritious meals, send the kids in shelter to school with healthy snacks and pay our competent, dedicated staff. Without their expertise and passion our work would not be possible.

We are happy to accept your credit card donation over the phone. Please call Arienne at (905) 988-3528 x.3247 and she would be glad to assist you.
Another great way to take action is to be part of one of our fundraising and awareness events. We always look for participants, volunteers and help with the planning of our events!
Our St. Catharines and Niagara Falls Emergency Shelters served 94,641 meals in 2017 alone. We rely on your generous donations of food to serve three healthy and nutritious meals a day! Click here to see our current “Grocery List”.
We are happy to accept new household donations as well as in-kind services. Please see our “High Needs” list below for our most urgent needs.
We do not accept donations of used household items and clothing.
As a functioning 24/hour a day, 7 days a week Emergency Homeless Shelter we have a great need for toiletries and other personal items. Quite often, women come through our door with nothing but the clothes on their back. Below is a list of items that we can always make good use of in our shelters. If you have items to donate you may drop them off any time at either our St. Catharines Emergency Shelter (183 King Street) or our Niagara Falls Emergency Shelter (6135 Culp Street).
If you have gently used furniture or decor to donate please contact us at 905-988-3528 to see if it’s something we can use. If it’s not, we can refer you to one of our community partners who can better utilize your donation.
