In 2019, the YW collaborated with Seaway Mall, GiantFM and Country89 to host the Building UP Homelessness campaign. This event brought the Cardboard House to Seaway Mall to bring awareness to homelessness right here in Niagara.
Because of the fantastic work of our corporate partners, we were able to raise over $5,000 last year. Due to health and safety concerns around COVID-19, the Cardboard House is unable to return to Seaway Mall this year.
While we’re unable to provide you with this interactive experience, we invite you to donate so that we can bring this event to you again in 2021.
The Cardboard House is an interactive display that tours visitors through the many misconceptions, realities, and solutions to homelessness in Niagara.

We would like to especially thank Chad Bezuyen, who always makes sure that we have enough volunteers to help out with the (dis)assembly of the House. We are touched by your dedication and kindness.
