For its second year in a row, the Building UP Homelessness campaign returns to Seaway Mall in April 2020 in support of the YWCA Niagara Region (YW). Seaway Mall, in partnership with GiantFM and Country89, is bringing the Cardboard House back for another year.
This year, Country89 and GiantFM are battling to see which station can raise the most money. For the month of April, help your favourite station while supporting a great cause when you “buy a brick” for $2. Paper bricks will be sold at Seaway Mall’s customer service desk throughout April or online:
The paper bricks will be collected to cover the Cardboard House, which will be on display in Centre Court from April 18 to April 30 with tours taking place on weekdays from 12pm-2pm and weekends from 11am-3pm. The Cardboard House is an interactive display that tours visitors through the many misconceptions, realities, and solutions to homelessness in Niagara.

Businesses like yours can get involved by purchasing a corporate brick. By making a donation of $100 to the YWCA Niagara Region, in-person at the mall or online, a corporate brick will be placed on the Cardboard House displaying your company’s name. Your logo will be seen by visitors at the mall, providing you with community recognition for supporting an important, local cause. Don’t forget to let us know which station you support to join in on the competition!
On April 30th, Country89 and GiantFM will be live and on-location at Seaway Mall as they host some of your favourite radio shows. Join us for our annual Building UP Homelessness event to:
