The YWCA Niagara Region hosts several events every year to create awareness about homelessness and poverty and raise money to support the many programs and services that we offer to help women and their families move from a life of constant transition to one of financial stability and permanent housing.
The Power of being a Girl Conference is an annual event that gathers hundreds of Grade 10 girls across Niagara for a day of empowerment, learning and leadership.
Coldest Night of the Year is an annual fundraiser walk-a-ton in support of our West Niagara Affordable Housing program.
Niagara Leadership Summit for Women is a full-day conference focused on women’s leadership; evaluating, discussing and promoting women’s leadership in Niagara.
Building UP Homelessness is a fundraising event in partnership with the Seaway Mall, GiantFM and Country89. This event brings an interactive display - the Cardboard House - to the Seaway Mall educate about the many misconceptions, realities, and solutions to homelessness in Niagara.
We also welcome and appreciate community members hosting their own fundraising events and donating proceeds to the YWCA. We consider these third party events.
