Off-Site Supported Transitional Housing

YWCA Niagara Region Off-Site Transitional Housing Program is designed to provide safe and subsidized transitional housing throughout St. Catharines, Welland and Niagara Falls for single women and single woman and their children. The residents work with staff to set goals that will lead to more independence. Staff offers the residents with life skills training, support, goal setting, advocacy, and referrals. Various programming also available to the residents are guest speakers, outdoor excursions, assitance with finding employment and appropriate accommodations. Women stay in the program for up to one year.

Epworth Terrace - Court Street Women's Residence

YWCA Niagara Region - Epworth Terrace, is a Women's Residence, part of the transitional housing component of the YWCA's housing mission.

Residence at Epworth Terrace are capable of living independently but still need advocacy and support for a period of time. While living at the facility, women attend sessions in goal setting and life skills where they learn self-reliance, how to work with one another, and general coping skills.

Women usually stay here for up to one year, or until ready to move on to independent living.

  • Free from substance abuse
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Inspired to set goals
  • Willingness to improve their lives for a year
